I bought these in May 2026 and it's mid August 2026 and the socks have a hole in the heel after less than a dozen times wearing them. Haven't been wearing them a lot since it's summer. I have mid weight versions that I bought 5 years ago that are holding strong but these didn't last a season.
Socks look nice ... until you put them on. The underside of the fabric is plain white. The stretch of the sock causes white vertical lines all around the sock, which dull and distort the image so it's not really visible. Very disappointing.
I bought these socks on a bit of whim. They were a splurge item. I don't normally spend almost $40 on a pair of socks, but time to live it up.
When I completed the order, I was disappointed that there wasn't an option for shipping. There was only 1 option for shipping, which was almost as expensive as the socks. I would have gladly waited longer and pay less for the shipping.
Anyway, they arrived and they looked good! I tried them on and they felt good.
But I have worn them twice and they already have a run in them - see photo.
Not happy about that. I don't think I am going to be spending $40 again for a pair of socks that start falling apart the 2nd time I wear them.
Love these socks, but are they supposed to last only about 10-12 wears?!? Got hole at heel.
Bought a second pair already and will wear them for special occasions only if necessary, but would like to think that first pair may be just had a defect???
I bought 3 pairs of these and wore one for the first time last week.
I walked a full day and when I took them off, there was a big hole in the big toe of each sock. They are now unwearable.
I get that these are lighter weight, but this is poor quality, and not what I expect from a premium sock. This quality is unacceptable.
I have many pairs of Outway socks and have always valued them for their durability & comfort, but these are not the Outway socks that I know. If this is a new quality standard, then I'll need to look elsewhere for a product of appropriate quality.

Exceeded expectations! 4th year participating in the Running Up for Air Malan’s Peak 24 hour event. In years past I’ve changed socks 3-4 times during the 24 hour mountain lap event. This year I started and finished in these socks! No blisters! We’re talking 54 miles, over 20,000 feet of elevation gain/loss & ZERO blisters. Plus- I love fun designs!! I just purchased 4 more pair. Hooray!!
For 32$ a pair, I expected these socks to last longer than 3 months. Sadly, they have already worn out. Do not recommend.
Un peu déçue de l'impression... Ce n'est pas mes premiers bas Outway avec des images d'animaux, mais c'est la première fois qu'il y a comme des grandes bandes de fils bleus qui cachent le motif. Habituellement, le fil est blanc et il paraît presque pas. C'est décevant, puisque sur le site, on ne voit pas ces bandes bleues. Sinon, la qualité et le fit sont super, comme tous les autres bas Outway que je possède!
Love the look. The toe has some weird bulges that aren’t ideal - the toe seems to be designed square vs a more contoured fit. The leg could fit snugger or have a better elastic to be held up. Other premium brands I find have a better fit but I do love the look.
Ces chaussettes sont juste pour moi. Elle représente ma chatte attachante et chaleureuse. Je les porterai fièrement...et ferai même des jaloux, jalouses🤣🤣
There are already holes in the toe area of these socks after only 10 hours of wearing them around the city. We’ve never had a problem with other types of Outway socks, but these don’t seem durable at all.
2/5 stars because the warranty covered it and the customer service was helpful.
I really wanted to love these socks, but I’m pretty disappointed with the durability. After just one wear, they already started to fray, which was surprising for Merino wool and for the price. They fit well and feel nice, but the quality just doesn’t seem to hold up. Hoping this was a one-off issue.

Since I can’t add a review directly, I wanted to share my feedback here: unfortunately, I’m not very happy with them. After the very first wear, the socks already started to fray, which was surprising and pretty disappointing given the price and my expectations of Merino wool.
I really needed to overhaul my athletic sock collection and wanted to buy Canadian. After researching I got really excited about Outway.I thought I was completely sold on these socks at first. After one hour of tennis, I was a bit worried as they frayed a bit around the sides but I figured I'd stick with them. However, on the second wear, just a regular work day, no sports, well, you can see what happened. I can't believe they didn't survive a day. My previous socks- Stance- I've used for dozens and dozens of hours of tennis with nary a blemish. I just spent almost $200 on 6 pairs of socks to support a Canadian company. Hugely disappointed. I will be seeking a full refund.
I was really disappointed when I received my socks because they are little black squares directly on the face of the polar bear in the front, masking all his face. I bought these socks because I liked the polar bear and we can't even see his face. I bought other socks in the past and they didn't have that so I don't know why this model has those black squares but I'm really disappointed because on the website you don't see those squares.
Holes appeared after the first day. I don't have nasty untrimmed toe nails ...but all the socks got holes after wearing them half a day. Super disappointed.
I was sooo happy to receive the socks they look awesome. I wanted new socks for my long runs. Unfortunately they did not survived a 26 km run. They are expensive. Not a good value for what I have paid.
I bought these for my husband and he has not even worn them once and there is a run in the sock. The other pairs I ordered are all good. I am disappointed about these though
I have 8 pairs of Outway socks. I do long runs and they are very comfortable, never had a blister. They are so colorful and attention getting. Love the new designs!
These socks are ADORABLE!! SO confortable and high quality. I've never had socks like that, a game changer.
The Colors and the material are way more than I was expecting. Je suis fière d'être Canadienne et qu'on ait une aussi belle entreprise ici!
