In 2016 we went looking for one pair that could handle the run, the gym, and the rest of the day, and still look like something you'd choose on purpose. Nobody made it. So we did.
Built by a pro cyclist who got tired of choosing.
Rob Fraser spent years racing professionally, where gear either works or it doesn't. The socks that performed looked like an afterthought. The ones that looked good fell apart on the bike.
So in 2016, from Victoria, BC, he started Outway with one rule: no trade-offs. Engineered for performance, designed to stand out, and built to last long after the ride is over.

Most brands treat socks as an afterthought. We only make socks, and we've been at it since 2016.
Every pair is built with performance yarns that pull sweat off the skin, an arch band and cuff compression that keep the sock where you put it, and a hand-linked toe with no seam to rub. Then we put a design on it that most brands wouldn't touch.

Yes. Outway is designed in Victoria, BC, Canada, and ships to customers across Canada and the US.
Depends on the line. Our Athletic socks use a polyester and nylon blend with spandex for stretch and recovery. Supima cotton for softness that holds up. Merino wool for temperature regulation and odour resistance in select styles.
Every line gets the same construction: arch support, cuff compression, and a hand-linked toe.
Yes. Performance yarns wick sweat to prevent blisters, reinforced cushioning under the heel and forefoot absorbs impact, and arch and cuff compression stop the sock from slipping inside your shoe.
Yes. Every pair is built to cover the ride, the run, the lift, and the trail. For hiking and colder days, our Merino Wool socks add temperature regulation and odour resistance.
Athletic is our all-round performance sock. Merino Wool regulates temperature and resists odour for hiking and cold weather. Supima Cotton is the softest option for everyday wear. Compression adds targeted support through the arch and calf to reduce fatigue.
No Show and Ankle sit at or just above the shoe line. Quarter sits just above the ankle. Crew sits just below the calf. Knee High sits just below the knee.
Sizing is unisex and based on your shoe size. Check the sizing chart on any product page and match your size to the range.
If you're between sizes, size up. A sock that's slightly long will still sit right; one that's short will pull at the toe.
Yes. Every style is unisex and sized by shoe size.
Cold wash, air dry. No bleach, no fabric softener. Softener coats the yarn and reduces wicking, which is the thing you paid for.
They'll survive a warm wash and a tumble dry if you're in a hurry. They'll just last longer if you aren't.
One year against manufacturing defects. If a seam fails or the knit gives out, we'll replace them.
Normal wear and tear, damage from removing packaging, and general use aren't covered. Bought from a retailer? Process the return through them. All claims are reviewed before approval.
Most US and Canadian orders arrive in 5 to 8 business days. You'll get a tracking link when it ships.
Returns and exchanges are open for 100 days. Socks need to be unworn and in the original packaging. Exchanges for a different size or design are available, with shipping and handling fees.
